Update on District’s 2025–26 Board Policies (BPs) and Administrative Procedures (APs) Priorities

October 22, 2025
Dear Colleagues,

I’m writing to share the District’s 2025–26 priorities for Board Policies (BPs) and Administrative Procedures (APs), along with a summary of the BPs and APs approved to date this academic year. This ongoing work strengthens our governance framework, clarifies roles and processes, follows the development an approval process, and advances our shared commitment to student success and institutional effectiveness.

Our 2025–26 priorities build on the progress made in 2024–25, with a focus on student success and equity, alignment with updated district processes, and the development of policies and procedures where none currently exist, but are legally required or operationally essential. I encourage all members of the college community to remain engaged by sharing feedback through your constituent group representatives on College Council.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed by drafting, reviewing, and providing thoughtful feedback on the policies and procedures completed thus far, and to all who will be engaging in the important work ahead on the 2025–26 BP/AP priorities. Special thanks to College Council, whose ongoing collaboration ensures our policies and procedures remain clear, current, and equity-centered.

In community,

Dr. Garcia, Ed.D.
