Renovations of this 80-year-old building feature larger bathrooms, ADA access, back-of-house production space updates and state-of-the-art lighting and audio-visual equipment that meets contemporary industry standards. The new theatre features raked seating, wider and more comfortable seats and improved sightlines, will still retaining much of its historic charm.

SRJC President Frank Chong expressed appreciation for the community’s excitement about the inaugural show. “Our theatre performances are known for their professional quality and will be even more impressive in the updated theatre,” he said. “I can think of no better way to celebrate its completion than with an outstanding first performance.”
