July 18, 2017 - According to a recent survey conducted by The Chronicle of Higher Education, Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) is one of the best colleges to work for in the nation. This year marks the fifth consecutive year that the College has received the distinction and has been named an honor roll institution; that is every year that SRJC has participated in the survey. 

The 2017 results, released in The Chronicle’s 10th annual report on The Academic Workplace, are based on a survey of 45,000 employees at 232 institutions nationwide. Of those participants, 79 colleges were recognized in one or more of 12 recognition categories for workplace quality. Only 42 colleges, including SRJC, received honors in multiple categories, thereby earning a spot on the Honor Roll.

This year, SRJC stood out in six out of 12 possible categories: Collaborative Governance; Compensation & Benefits; Diversity; Professional/Career Development Programs; Respect and Appreciation; Supervisor/Department Chair Relationship.

President and Superintendent Dr. Frank Chong commented, “SRJC has provided nearly 100 years of service to students and the community.
