Date: February 18, 2025 Santa Rosa, CA — Santa Rosa Junior College’s Game Development Program presents its second annual speaker series, featuring industry veterans discussing their careers and the future of gaming. All talks will be streamed live via Zoom from 6:30-7:30 PM. Event links can be found at Game Views 2025.
March 6 – “Becoming a Game Designer”
Robert Cogburn (Insomniac Games) will share insights on game design, production, and overcoming development challenges in AAA games.
April 10 – “Working in the Mobile Game Space”
Kris Davis (Winsay Consulting LLC) will discuss his 20 years in mobile gaming, covering business strategy, brand licensing, and market trends.
May 8 – “Learning Skillsets for Virtual Production”
Mary Clarke-Miller (Berkeley City College) will explore virtual production, animation, and game design education, highlighting her work in shaping industry-ready curricula.
These talks support SRJC’s Game Development Program, which offers online courses, a 17-unit career certificate, a 25-unit A.S. degree, and an accelerated boot camp format. Founded in 2011, the program prepares students for careers in independent game development or AAA studios.
