April 17, 2025, Santa Rosa, CA – The Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) Dance Program is proud to present its Spring Concert, Periodic Table of Dance, an innovative and captivating evening where the worlds of dance and science collide. This extraordinary showcase will take place at Burbank Auditorium with three performances:

Blending the elements of concert dance, science, and spoken word, Periodic Table of Dance draws inspiration from the periodic table, with each piece representing a unique element. This dynamic performance will ignite the audience’s senses through an array of dance styles, including fiery jazz, exhilarating hip-hop, and breathtaking contemporary and modern pieces.
The event will feature original works by SRJC’s accomplished dance faculty and talented student choreographers, as well as special collaborations with the Sonoma State University (SSU) Dance Department. Additionally, professional guest performances by UPside Dance Company will add an exciting dimension to the show. SRJC’s nationally ranked Speech and Debate team will enhance the experience by delivering original spoken word performances between dance pieces, creating a seamless blend of movement and storytelling.
Directed by Tanya Knippelmeir, this compelling and radioactive evening promises to mesmerize, provoke thought, and celebrate the artistic diversity of the SRJC Dance Program.
