September 4, 2018, Santa Rosa, CA—United States Congressman Mike Thompson (CA-05) will attend the Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018 meeting of the Sonoma County Junior College District (SCJCD) Board of Trustees to present a Congressional Record Statement in honor of the college’s 100th anniversary. The meeting takes place in the Lawrence A. Bertolini Student Center on the SRJC Santa Rosa campus at 1501 Mendocino Avenue at 4:00 p.m.
Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) Superintendent/President Dr. Frank Chong said that he feels privileged to be the college president during SRJC’s 100th anniversary celebration year.
“It is such an honor to be here during this historic time,” Chong said. “When SRJC’s first students stepped onto campus in 1918, they could not have known the positive impact this institution would have on the community over the coming century. I am appreciative of Congressman Mike Thompson’s recognition, in celebration of this momentous occasion.”
“It is my great honor to recognize Santa Rosa Junior College as it celebrates a century of education right here in our district,” Thompson said. “For the past 100 years, the College has prepared our students to lead and given our community a leg up academically and I could not be more proud to celebrate this exciting milestone.”
