April 9, 2025, Santa Rosa, CA – The Frank P. Doyle Library at Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) proudly presents ENCORE: Retired Doyle Collection Artists Return to SRJC, an art exhibit celebrating the work of retired artists whose artworks are part of the Doyle Collection. The exhibition will be on display from April 25, 2025, through December 15, 2025, on the 2nd floor of the Frank P. Doyle Library during open hours.
To mark the opening of ENCORE, a reception will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in Doyle Library. This event offers the public a unique opportunity to engage with the artists, explore their creative legacies, and gain insight into their artistic journeys. Curator Scott Lipanovich noted, "SRJC Artists in the Doyle Collection have exhibited their collective work throughout the world. Their continued collaborations with our students enrich the entire campus community.”
The ENCORE exhibit reunites distinguished artists who have played a significant role in shaping the artistic identity of SRJC and the Doyle Collection. Featuring a diverse range of styles and mediums, the collection showcases the enduring creativity and artistic contributions of the artists.
This event is free and open to the public. Art enthusiasts, students, and community members are encouraged to attend and celebrate the vibrant legacy of Doyle Collection artists.
About the Doyle Collection
The Doyle Collection includes over 90+ artworks created by faculty and staff members who have worked at the Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) since 1950. This collection was curated by Scott Lipanovich, retired Library Technician, to showcase the talents of our community. Students consistently comment on how much they enjoy the art because it makes the library space more inviting and allows them to learn about and embrace creativity.
