SRJC Theatre Arts Hollywood Costumes Exhibit & Events

Hollywood CostumeOctober 8, 2025, Petaluma - The Herold Mahoney Library Gallery at SRJC Petaluma presents the SRJC Theatre Arts Hollywood Costumes exhibit, on view from October 13, 2025, to April 10, 2026. The exhibit features costumes from SRJC Theatre productions, and photographs of Hollywood costumes featured in the recent publication The Costumes of Hollywood: Highlights from The Collection of Motion Picture Costume Design by SRJC’s Coleen Scott Trivett and Hollywood costume collector Larry McQueen.

Coleen Scott Trivett is tenured faculty in the SRJC Theatre Arts and Fashion Studies Department, heading the Costume Design, Technology, and Makeup programs. She received two grants from the Faculty Fund for Advanced Studies (FFAS) to complete work on the book. Larry McQueen is a leading Hollywood costume historian and archivist with one of the largest private collections in the world.

In addition to highlighting photos from the publication, the Careen Education (CE) Costume Design program will be curating costumes from the SRJC collection inspired by Hollywood costumes. Items and posters from past productions will be on display additional examples of the specialty crafts and skills that students learn in our program.
