January 22, 2025
Dear SRJC Community,
It is with great pride and celebration that I want to share some exciting news – The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), at its January 8-9, 2025 meeting, reaffirmed Santa Rosa Junior College’s (SRJC) accreditation for the remainder of its eight-year cycle, through 2028/29.
The Commission determined that SRJC has successfully addressed all deficiencies outlined in the January 2024 action letter and is now fully meeting Accreditation Standard I.B.6.
This achievement reflects SRJC’s commitment to meaningful assessment practices, the analysis of disaggregated student learning outcome (SLO) data, and our commitment to enhancing educational attainment for all students.
Moving forward, the College will continue developing and refining systems, structures, and resources that support faculty in their critical work to advance student learning and equitable academic achievement.
Deep appreciation goes to all those who contributed to this significant accomplishment, including SLO Faculty Coordinators, SLO Faculty Liaisons, Academic Senate, Department Chairs’ Council, All Faculty Association, Academic Affairs, Distance Education, Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Planning, Information Technology, and many others. Your collective efforts make our mission possible and help us provide a comprehensive community college education to students and Sonoma County.
Looking ahead, as part of the normal accreditation process, SRJC’s Accreditation Mid-term Report is due to the Commission by March 15, 2026. The Planning & Budget Council, in collaboration with the Accreditation Oversight Committee, will continue guiding our preparation for the new 2024 ACCJC standards in the upcoming report.
Congratulations to the entire SRJC community!
